06 June 2012

South African Express Airways has announced that it will use the newest Q400 aircraft on the Richards Bay route from this month, after retiring of some of its fleet.

“The Q400 boosts our operations on the Richards Bay route, where there is a growing requirement for such aircraft for both business and tourist travel,” said David Allanby, SA Express General Manager Flight Operations.

“We will be able to take full advantage of the Bombardier Q400 aircraft’s outstanding economics and passenger comfort and, offer our passengers a superb air service,” he continued.

Allanby said the new aircraft on the route would reduce flying time from 90 minutes to 55 minutes. The aircraft also features wider and more comfortable seats.
